Welcome back, folks! In case you missed it, we’ve listed down the first 5 things to settle before your Winter Wedding Extravaganza! Once you’ve gotten that sorted, let’s talk about another 5 things to confirm as we move closer to your big day!

What Will Your Guests Eat?

We’re sure your Winter Weddingland will be decorated with hues of silver and white, to mimic the weather outside. How about adding a little color to the table with scrumptious dishes, and a feast for the other senses as well? Take our friend, Kizzy-Ann of Sinful Indulgence Catering, for instance. We are so obsessed with her purple cauliflower and green bean sauté! The bright color of the vegetables will be a gorgeous contrast to the cool hues of the table settings.

We’re also quite obsessed with Kizzy-Ann’s white rice & curried griot, served with red cabbage pikliz on spinach sauce. Your guests will probably be expecting meat and potatoes (not like we have a problem with that!), but serve them this amazing dish and your guests will never know what hit them!

Since we’re still talking about food, let’s talk about The Wedding Cake. You will need to look to the experts,  Elegantly Iced, for this one! This custom cake design studio can design just about anything you want on your cake, your imagination is their limit! Also, they won the WeddingWire Bride’s Choice Awards twice in a row. We’re pretty sure you’re in safe hands!

What Will Your Guests Drink?

It’s chilly outside, but there’s no reason to stop the drinks from flowing! Get fun with the alcohol you’re serving, like the Jack Frost Cocktail, courtesy of the mixologists extraordinaires from Barman Cometh. Get warm with Jack Daniels, freshly squeezed lime juice, cherry juice, Simple Syrup and a splash of orange juice in the mix!

If Jack isn’t the man for you, what about The Winter Solstice cocktail? Just think of Cointreau, orange infused vodka, lemon juice with a raspberry and mint leaf garnish. It sounds pretty, looks pretty and will definitely make a pretty good time!

You want to have shots at your wedding, but don’t want to risk becoming a dive bar? Stay on the winter lane with the Bacardi Coco Butter Shot, thanks to Food Network’s Giada De Laurentiis. You will only need one part Bacardi Coco, 1/2 part of butterscotch schnapps and 1/2 part single cream. Shake well with ice, and serve in chilled shot glasses. Looks deceivingly like milk, so be prepared!

What Are You Going to Dance to?

Are you frantically searching through the thousands of songs on your iTunes for that perfect song as the soundtrack of Your First Dance? Why don’t you forgo the corny wedding compilations, and go with something a little more heartfelt? Try Amel Larrieux’s ‘I Do Take’, a refreshingly light and honest ballad that will quickly become a wedding staple, so run with this before everyone else does!

Looking for something instrumental instead? You won’t go wrong with the Capriccio Ensemble. A trio or quartet should be enough, but if you’re feeling expansive go with their chamber orchestra (up to 20 players) instead! This ensemble has a large repertoire of songs they can play at your wedding, take a sneak peek of their divine rendition of ‘The Irish Wedding Song’ by their solo harpist.

Always wanted your own Disney fairytale? Capriccio Ensemble can make your dream come true, with a lovely medley of the ‘Sleeping Beauty Waltz’, ‘The Colors of the Wind’ from Pocahontas and the ‘Theme from Beauty and the Beast’, with the help of their violinist and harpist!

What Will Your Guests Go Home With?

It’s all in the details. Let your guests know you appreciate their time and effort to make it to your wedding with a little token. No big budget needed!

Send your guests home with something they can use! An inexpensive and completely DIY way to add to the winter spirit of your wedding party is to wrap napkins with cinnamon sticks and a sprig of rosemary or fir. It looks good and smells fabulous too!

What about sending your guests on their way with something scrumptious? We are so obsessed with The Jam Jar Bakery! An irresistible fresh pie in a jar, with the whole experience of a cake, frosting, flavors and great presentation- all in a bite size treat!Try the Classic flavor with green apples and a crunchy crumb topping, or their signature chocolate pie, the Hot Fudge Toffee Crunch. Otherwise, go with the Pecan Gingerbread, with pecan filling baked on top a gingerbread cookie crust, for that dash of holiday flavor!

Your guests will not only admire the beautiful packaging that can be customized to your needs, they will definitely enjoy the yummy treat for the journey home!
