If you’re reading this, we hope you’ve survived the Christmas madness! Now, we know the festive mood will extend to the New Years – the madness isn’t over yet. On the way to yet another party or a champagne brunch, and you (gasp!) think you’ve tasted all the yummy drinks The Festive Season has to offer? Kick it up a notch with some seriously decadent, gorgeous and fun drinks to wow the crowd! As always, we’ve compiled a list for you below:
Hot Apple Cider
According to Huffington Post, this is the only hot apple cider recipe you will need! What better way to start things off with a delicious hot cup of goodness? This can be served as is, or add alcohol to make a cocktail. Check the recipe out on A Beautiful Mess!
Not all of us can make it up the mountains this week, so let the Alps come to you! All you need is the steaming coffee, cherry brandy and Frangelico (any other hazelnut liqueur will do). Normally we’d tell you to just buy the Frangelico and add a sprinkle of lemon juice for a pick-me-up, but this recipe takes decadent to another level, so don’t hesitate to try this out!
Hot Chocolate Shots
We hope hot chocolate is a huge part of your childhood, because we can’t imagine growing up without it! Now that we’re of legal age, get an updated version of this classic drink – in a shot glass! You’ll need bourbon, milk, sugar, cocoa powder and semi-sweet chocolate. You will also need Grand Marnier (or any other orange liqueur), which totally add a layer of fabulous flavor for this holiday season!
Troegs Mad Elf Ale
Our friends at Barman Cometh have listed this drink as part of their ‘Drinks of the Month’, so we’re pretty sure this drink is awesome! What’s not to love – this ruby red beer has a combination of cherries, honey, chocolate malts and subtle spices. A few rounds of this, and everyone will be Mad Elves! Just in case you’re in a mad rush and can’t call Barman Cometh to help you out, use Beer Menus to locate the closest places to get your Mad Elf Ale!
Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate
You didn’t think we were going to list fun drinks and not include peanut butter? In our humble opinion, there is nothing better than the peanut butter and chocolate combo. Bite Me More has sensational recipe that is sure to make your guests beg for more. Just make sure you read the recipe right – it’s smooth peanut butter that you’ll need!
Don’t let these festive drinks fool you, it’s good to use until the cold leaves the building! We hope you enjoy these drinks – send them some our way if you’ve any left!
