Dad Deserves the Best: 4 Ways to Celebrate Father’s Day!

Okay, so Darth Vader isn’t exactly going to win any Father’s Day honors, but we know someone in our lives who totally deserves our time and attention to celebrate how he has changed our lives too!

It’s not always about Mom, so we want to dedicate this to all the fathers who have put up with us, and made us who we are today. We’ve got five ways (and gifts!) to shower dad with love this Sunday (15th June) and show him he will always mean the world to you!

Give Dad A Haircut

We don’t mean it literally, unless you’re professionally trained! Take time out this Sunday and take dad to the famous Astor Place Hairstylists to get his hair did and pampered! It’s a great spot, with rich history and it’s budget friendly too. They have a team of 60 stylists, so you’re bound to find something that will suit Dad and work for you too!

[UPDATE: Up for a documentary screening? Astor Barber All-Stars will screen at Quad Cinema on the 29th this month! More info here.]

Make Dad Breakfast (Burger!)

Let Dad sit back and relax while you make him a breakfast burger! The burgers are huge, and will satisfy any major appetite. Just imagine all the elements of breakfast Dad might love, like bacon and maple syrup (and lots of eggs!) piled in between sinful buttery buns. Click here for the full recipe!

Royal Treatment for Dad

Dad may not be royalty, but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat him like one! Truefitt & Hill is the ultimate when it comes to grooming products and services, so you know the Truefitt & Hill 1805 Luxury Shaving Soap and Bowl could change Dad’s life! If it’s good enough for The Duke of Edinburgh (just the Queen’s husband!), then it might work for Dad. Get details here.

Get Active with Dad

When it comes down to it, the best way to celebrate Father’s Day is to spend quality time with Dad. If he’s the active type, bring him hiking! An hour north of Manhattan, Anthony’s Nose Hike overlooks the Bear Mountain state park and bridge. The view is absolutely fantastic, and it would only take three hours or so. It’s the perfect bonding session! More details here.
