5 Last Minute Thanksgiving Snacks And Appetizers

We’re so excited, Thanksgiving is tomorrow! Most of us are still at work, but we’re really thinking about pies, casseroles and the million ways to serve potatoes. What’s going to happen while our loved ones wait, as the rest of us prepare the sumptuous holiday spread?

Fear not, for we have the perfect list of easy, last-minute snacks you can serve during Thanksgiving lunch and/or dinner to tide your guests over, in anticipation for all the good food you’ve made (or ordered via Fiestah!). We promise you, it’s stress-free and will definitely distract your hungry guests, while they wait for the main dishes!

Cinnamon Bun Popcorn 

What’s a gathering without some popcorn? Elevate good ‘ol butter popcorn with a cinnamon bun flavor that is perfect for this holiday season! You’ll need pecan pieces, brown sugar, cinnamon, corn syrup, some butter, vanilla extract and some baking soda. Coat the popcorn with this mixture and bake for 30 minutes. Full instructions here.

Toasted Roasted Chickpeas, Cajun Style

Thanksgiving comes in different shapes, sizes and flavors. We’re thankful for this super easy, and health-conscious recipe! You’ll need chickpeas, some olive oil and Parmesan cheese with a yummy mix of spices like paprika and cayenne pepper. Pop in the oven, and let it cook for under half an hour. Roasted Garlic & Rosemary Pumpkin Hummus 

Every party deserves a gorgeous dip as a snack or appetizer to the appetizer! Pinch of Yum has this lovely recipe, with roasted garlic pureed with pumpkin, finely minced rosemary, chickpeas and some honey. We’re serious, it’s so simple to make! Serve with pita bread, crackers, vegetables.. You name it, it will be blessed by this awesome hummus.

Crostini with Honey, Ricotta and Lemon Zest

We humans are meant to love cheese served on top of toasted/grilled bread. Toast slices of crusty Italian bread on the grill, and rub with a garlic clove. Add a generous smear of ricotta, we’re talking the best you can find, before drizzling with olive oil and a touch of salt. Don’t forget a quick drizzle of some honey and that lemon zest! Chocolate Fudge (In No Time!) 

Normally, we wouldn’t encourage relying on a microwave to make anything, but we might make an exception with this one! When else are we allowed to indulge, or to serve something this deliciously easy and sinful? (We’re already feeling guilty about the condensed milk!)
