Have Yourself An Awesome Hot Chocolate Indoor Party!

Let’s there’s nothing in this world that can bring us happiness like chocolate! Bring it down a notch, and enjoy this holiday weekend with something lovely like a hot chocolate indoor party.

How does this hot chocolate indoor party work, you ask?

Before you kick off your heavy boots and settle into the couch for a Netflix marathon, make a batch of gorgeous hot chocolate to keep you cozy and fuzzy! We’ve got five recipes you can make, and enjoy all weekend long. Party of Chocolate Awesomeness begins, right after the cut!

Toasted Coconut Chocolate Pumpkin Latte with Chocolate Drizzle

We know, we’re kind of over the social media craze of spiced pumpkin latte as well. Trust us, Half Baked Harvest‘s chocolate pumpkin latte topped with toasted coconut and chocolate drizzle is so good, you’ll forget about that coffee chain’s holiday drink! This recipe will take 8 minutes to make, tops. Don’t forget the whipped cream, and you’re ready to settle under the covers! Full recipe here.

Melted Hot Chocolate with Sea Salt Whipped Cream

Sea salt whipped cream? We had to re-read the recipe title too! Reminiscent of thick Spanish hot chocolate, this hot cocoa is just the kind of decadence your precious holiday weekend deserves. You’ll need to melt dark baker’s chocolate with some semi-sweet baker’s chocolate, before you add honey and whole milk. Beware: The sea salt chocolate whipped cream will keep you obsessed for a long time, it’s the ultimate topping! Full recipe here.

Toasted Almond Hot Chocolate

This hot chocolate variation is just lovely, and a great twist to the simple awesomeness of the hot beverage we love so much! The best part about this recipe is that it’s super easy to prepare. You just have warm the milk before stirring in chocolate and almond extract. You’ll need to toast your almonds in the oven, between 3-5 minutes. Don’t keep your eyes off it, or it’ll burn! Full recipe here.

We’re not listing awesome hot chocolates to make this weekend without a spiked hot chocolate recipe! This bourbon hot chocolate is creamy goodness, and a whole lot of fun. You’ll only need to whisk coconut milk, milk, cocoa powder, milk chocolate, bourbon and heavy cream in a saucepan until it becomes thick and luscious. Rim your mug with white chocolate, and pour your yummy concoction in. Top with whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes. It makes all the difference! Full recipe here.

Vegan Superfood Hot Chocolate

You read right, hot chocolate can be super nutritious when mixed with superfoods like maca root and chia seeds. Some people say maca root reminds them of vanilla or butterscotch, which is perfect for a hot chocolate recipe. It’s yummy, and boosts energy! This vegan hot chocolate recipe will need unsweetened almond milk, chia seeds, raw cacao, raw coconut sugar, some maca root powder, cinnamon, pinch of sea salt and cayenne powder. Mix on high in a blender, and heat over the stove! It’s easy to put together, and will be a welcome break from the overeating this weekend. Full recipe here!

Here’s to a lovely weekend, folks!
