The annual Met Gala, hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, went down on Monday and saw all types of awesome fashion looks. It’s no wonder the Internet is still buzzing over the fashion on display with these memes!

In honor of this fundraising extravaganza, we share our favorite ways to relive the sophistication of this year’s Met Gala. Check it out, after the cut:

China: Through the Looking Glass Exhibition

The Met Gala’s highlight may have been about the jaw-dropping fashion, but it’s also about The Costume Institute’s spring 2015 exhibition. China: Through the Looking Glass, will be on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 7 through August 16, 2015. This hybrid show of fashion, film and art explores the impact of Chinese aesthetics on Western fashion as well as the fashionable imagination throughout the centuries.

Look out for acclaimed filmmaker and auteur, Wong Kar-wai as he takes visitors on a cinematic journey through the galleries with his distinct artistic direction, juxtaposing high fashion alongside masterworks of Chinese art. Full information here.

Rihanna vs. Omelette

When we saw visuals of Rihanna with that amazing yellow coat, we were in awe (and slightly hungry!). The coat took two years to make, but the first glance reminded us of a really great breakfast omelette. Get your omelette party on at work with our vendor, City Gourmet Cafe. We’d go with the classic California Omelette. Just think of onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, avocado, and cheddar to make this delicious omelette!

Be Inspired by the Met Gala’s Decor

Thanks to Instagram user mjwoo44, we got a sneak peek into the world of this year’s Met Gala. We love the table settings, with simple flower arrangements in the middle for a touch of color and sophistication. Accentuate with the fullness of wisteria hanging from the ceiling, for a touch of the whimsical and abundance. The evening’s pièce de résistance is the 12,500 pound chinoiserie vase made of flowers, seen here via Vogue!

The reality here is that not all events will have the lavish budget to splurge, like how the Met Gala decor team can. What it really takes for an event space to flourish is proper strategy and attention to the finer details. For example, a pop of color to add to any event space is great for that extra burst of energy!

Don’t know where to look for decorators or florists that can transform your event space? We’ve got a list of vendors who can cater to your specific needs, and make it all happen.

Here’s to the next Met Gala!
