It’s the second September weekend, and there’s a ton of things to do in this incredible city! We choose three different events and happenings that will definitely give you an incredible weekend. Check it out, after the cut:

You are not ready for Bushwig, New York’s fiercest drag queen festival! Come party with the best of the best, and see how drag queens come together as a community this weekend. We’re talking crazy musical performances, with food and art vendors that will make you never want to leave! Psst: Don’t forget about the crazier after-parties, and say hi to co-founder Horrorchata when you see her! Just don’t pull on her yellow wig. Get more information here and the tickets at the door.

Party Like It’s 1999: The X-Files of September Edition

This Saturday, 12 September, come get it on at the Bell House as it dedicates its dance party series to the one of the greatest cult series of all time! We’re super stoked about the reboot, so while we eagerly wait for that to grace our screens again, come dance the night away. We encourage you to dress up as one of the detectives, ‘cos you just might go home with a secret prize! Full information here.

Wanderlust Festival at Prospect Park Bandshell

After a crazy Saturday, get out and smell the fresh air for a “mindful triathlon”! We’re talking a 5k run, outdoor yoga experience and a guided meditation. Don’t worry about competing, this festival is all about placing community, inner peace and self-awareness above everything. You’ll even have live bands and DJs on the main stage to accompany you! There are other activities such as hooping, acroyoga and of course, local food and craft vendors to help you wind down. Full information here.

Get moving, folks. Have a great weekend!
